I have a smell of coolant when stopped, and I noticed some steam from the bottom of the right cylinders yesterday. However, the reservoir is full and has been for some time. The bike is running warmer, but summer has been hot this year. Any ideas? Coolant tube? head gasket?? I can't find...

What are you guys running? I've had three Dunlop 404s and haven't gotten much over 6000 miles out of them. I know the old girl is heavy, and I ride hard but that's sportbike tire mileage, not what I would expect from a tourer. Let me know what you've found that works.

Anybody have one that works? Mine reads about 25 degrees too hot. Last night I cleaned the sensor took it out of the dash, manually moved the needle sill nothing. I heated it with a cigarette lighter, and it maxed out. Placed it in a cup of ice water and it wouldn't go below 60...weird.

It's been an unusually cold winter here in NC. Typically we have a cold day or a few and then back in the sixties...it's been three weeks of 40 and below and I am sick of cold weather. I started the 'Oldwing and the Hurricane and warmed the oil and listened to them run, but damn I need to ride!

Anybody ever have an issue with the ignition switch and is it fixable? Mine will not power up unless you mess with it and get it between run and accessory. I got it home fine tonight, but I'm afraid a little vibration will knock it off and that would suck at highway speeds :evil:

Mine has succumbed to the ravages of time, oxygen and moisture. The backplate has completely rusted out. I am thinking of making a new plate out of treated plywood, but thought I'd see what was available first.

What speakers would you guys recommend? I'm looking to swap the 28 year old Clarion speakers for something with better sound quality.
