Getting a smooth idle can be challenging.
Mine is still not as smooth as I'd like but it's very good.

I am at 50 idle.
What helped the most was drilling a 1.5 mm hole in the throttle plate. This let more air be drawn in at idle.
Sounds strange but it worked.

then wouldnt going to a #60 help??
#60 would give it more gas but not more air.
Part of the problem here is there is a transition idle passage which is NOT adjustable like the idle mix screw is so there is no way to control gas flow from it.
By all means try a 60 and see what it does.
The secondary idle jet has a #60 on it. Swap that with the primary idle #50. This way theirs no drilling of the 50 so you can move it back after trying it.

did this today
