i don't know how true it is but my dad had a spider and a friend had one and they both say they run great but trying to stop was a problem sometimes. and also said if they were not making a clicking noise they wasn't running right.

Well, after an oil change and a bottle of Rislone, the stuck lifters freed up after about 10 minutes of fast idling. I don't hear any internal noises at all now, but the blower bearing is screaming pretty good! I have a new one.

That's great news indeed! Flat sixes are as nice as flat fours just half again as much fun.

+1 as I am currently riding one of those examples :good: :salute:

It's goin' very slowly...I picked up some spare parts 2 weeks ago - carbs, generator, starter, and a gorgeous set of rechromed bumpers really cheap!

So I've mainly been cleaning parts (yawn). The carb kits and generator brushes & bearings have arrived, and now that the weather has cooled a bit I'll get them put together.

I've also started the minor body work, though I'm not very good at it. Hoping to get it sanded and primered in the next couple of weeks so it isn't such an eyesore!

After

So far, every part I've needed has been very easy to find. I wish it was the same for our Wing engines!!
