    Comstar wheels with new tires.

Next is the front brake assembly. Brand new...still got the red caps on the holes. I have no idea what year they are for. I'll have to take some pics and post 'em here and hope some of you guys can help me identify 'em. Does anyone know if there are identifying numbers on the calipers? It...

    Comstar wheels with new tires.

I'd really like to keep the bike as close to stock as possible. I don't think Comstars look good on a '75. They look great on the later year bikes. I've got a bunch of parts that the widow gave me.... I think I've got the entire front end for a '78 or '79. Forks, triple tree, calipers...

    Comstar wheels with new tires.

Ok...now you guys got me confused. Can I put those tires on my '75 with spoke wheels if I use a tube? Will the bead set on spoke wheels or are those tires specifically meant to be used on tubeless rims?

    Comstar wheels with new tires.

The tires are tubeless and my '75 uses tube tires. Will they work?

    Comstar wheels with new tires.

It looks like the front tire was made in the 39th week of 2010 and the rear was made in the 3rd week of 2006. Thanks for the info....I never knew they put the mfg dates on the tires. I assume they do it with car tires too ???

    Comstar wheels with new tires.

I got 'em on Ebay now for $100 + shipping. I had them higher, but got no nibbles. At least now, I've got a bid. According to Ebay, the shipping should be about $30. I never know what the shipping is gonna cost until I actually print out the label.

I looked the tires over and there's no cracks or signs of age. I wonder what the date code is?? Where is it on the tire?

    Comstar wheels with new tires.

They were garaged at Fewman's and they've been in my garage since. I haven't touched 'em other than to take pics. What you see is the condition I got 'em in from Fewman's widow.

Date code?? How old are they? You must have some good eyes. I guess this shows I don't know crap about tires. Like I said, I inherited them. Maybe I shouldn't have used such high res pics, eh? I don't want to sell anything dangerous....

zman: You're right....it's Fewman's bike. I'm a member at NGW, too. I've gone thru all his posts....and I'm amazed at the care and precision he used in the restoration. But, in the 40 years I knew him, he was always like that in everything he did. You ought to have seen his toolboxes. Talk...

How did you know about the bike? Do you have any info on what and when things were done? I didn't want to bother him while he was dying....it was tough....I knew him since high school...over 40 years. I try to ride it once a week....just to keep things moving. Timing belts recently...

    Comstar wheels with new tires.

100/90-19 Front AND 130/90-17 Rear Comstar wheels and Dunlop tires in excellent condition (maybe brand new?). I don't know what year they came off of because I inherited the bike and a lot of parts. I think it's from the 1978. Anybody interested??

I'm baaaaack...!! I signed up for this site years ago because I was a former 1975 Wing owner (crashed in '89..86,000 miles) and haven't replaced it due to costs and raising a family. Now, I'm retired...kids are gone and my good friend of 40 years (we bought our Wings together as a package deal...
