need to pull the heads anyway, the bike supposedly had a head gasket leak. anyway, i haven't heard anything that would dissuade me from going ahead. will go down to SLC, thanksgiving and pickup the motor from my son's place and start the swap after the first of the year. will keep you posted...

i have my doubts about ignition related issues, especially with 15 degree retarded from stock timing and running good quality premium fuel. i have considered the fact that i had the head on one side machined due to an overheating issue that caused a blown head gasket. i put it back together...
