The thing about the K&N air filter is that foam ring that goes at the bottom doesn't seal properly and there is an air leak. When I get it right its fine but its a pain and the there is the whole oiling thing. I know it sounds silly but is prefer disposable. Still not sure where to get one...

Cartridge type oil filters at NAPA?

Cheapcycleparts was recommended but noticed air filter was $32 plus shipping does this sound right and where do you get filters and such? I'm going back to OEM filter don't like the fit of the K&N and trying to rule out everything contributing to my low idle stutter.

So 32 bucks for an OEM air filter from cheapcycleparts does that sound right? Also what brand oil filter are you folks usings?

I referenced a Wix oil filter today, I know they make good stuff so I think that's what I'll do in that department.

update: I took the air filter off and it has a K&N, it looked like air was leaking in around the bottom where there was some greasy buildup so i cleaned the area and re-installed. I really don't think I like the setup and gonna go back to OEM. The K&N has some kind of sponge gasket that sits at...

Well in my haste I went to my stash and added 8 oz. of ATF to a full tank. As I was riding it dawned on me my Ams ATF is synthetic. We'll see how it responds- no real difference in my 30 mile ride so I'll try to ride the current tank out ASAP to see if this issue will settle down. Any petro...
