Ok, I have an 1100 Standard with a Vetter fairing and Interstate bags/trunk. I have ridden it with no bags/trunk, with a full Vetter set of bags/trunk and also with a set of Bates bags. Working on the bike in almost every configuration has been ok but...

I recently bought some O-gee bars to wrap around the bags/trunk to dress it up a little. Along with the bars came a Markland trailer hitch so today I started working on installing the trailer hitch. As I was I just spun the wheel around and I saw some threads starting to show at one spot, so it's time to pull the tire. :sensored:

That job was so much easier to do when the rear end was a Standard! If it weren't for the fact that I can fit so much crap into those saddlebags, I might be tempted to take them off completely.

There, I feel better now!

Three deep breaths, grab a beer and don't forget to add a little to the collection plate. :smilie_happy:

That's exactly what it took and a long break!

Brian, you seem stressed! I should come up there and take those bags off your hands and relieve your stress! :heat:

Just some fyi for ease of removal... the axle comes out easier.. if you raise it above the mufflers if still oem type... it won't drop far enough to clear under them even with both shocks disconnected... found this out after I had rear about 12 inches in the air.. and pulled shocks loose from the swing arm and the axle stooped right before it would have cleared...
