1100 timing belt replacement

Hi new guy here in PA with 82 interstate
belt life is unknown and I want to replace both before going too far with it.

watched little beavers video, clever use of clamps to maintain position of cams.
looks pretty straight forward

whats the recommended place to buy belts???

Got mine from Napa... same belts as gates... Napa has more numbers but last 3 the same... reasonable also.. $15 a belt after installing belts be sure to turn the engine by hand..... mine was off by 1 1/2 tooth and was locking when I tried to turn it over..did mine by hand fortunately so no damage....

Nappa for belts and hoses. Buy one hose and cut it fits both top and bottom. FYI
Write the date and mileage on the inside belt cover so the next time covers are off- you know how old the belts and mileage are.

Gates quality belts on amazon. About $15 ea delivered. Take your time and read all the info you can. Make sure you turn the engine by hand a few revs and feel for any solid stops. After the hand spin is OK check the timing marks again and enjoy

Napa is convenient and right around the corner. If your local store doesn't have them today, they will be there tomorrow by 1 (most times).
