1100 Valve Covers

These came off of the 80 motor that I have and it is obvious that one of them isn't original. One has "Made in Japan" and the other doesn't. I looked at the covers on my 81 and they both have the "Made in Japan." My question: when did the "Made in Japan" fall off of the covers, and no I didn't buff it off?

83` I believe is when the made in Japan came off.

Yup - '83. Another 1-year-wonder.

its and 83 motor if it has the big round instead of the smaller oval oil level window like all oldwings had till the 83 motor year

Now wait just one minute! :rant: I might be doing it, but I never mentioned that I like doing it. :smilie_happy:

My fingers are so sore right now it’s unbelievable. These pieces had so much corrosion on them that just a green pad and oven cleaner wasn't enough to clean them up, so wet/dry sand paper was required.
