i'm forced to sell one on my goldwings. a 1978 gl1000 with lester mag wheels.
i'm thinking of switching the rear rim before I sell it because i'm considering
installing a bender sidecar on my current 76 gl1000 restoration project. the 16 inch rear rim will help me get a
better ratio for my sidecar rig. now my question, what other year rims would be interchangeable to put
back on the 1978 ?
i'd rather not go with spokes because of the inner tube issue. would a gl1100 rear wheel go on that bike?

because of you guys i'm planning a frankinstien motor with a 1200 lower end and a gl1000 upperend.
I want to install that motor into the 1976.
I would have never thought that a 1200 motor would fit in the 76 frame. but now I must find a rear wheel
to go back into the 1978.
