16" rims for gl1100

Hello group.was woundering if any one knows of a 16" rim that would fit the gl1100.im would like to get a set of the Avon gangster wide white walls and thay only come in one size MT-90-16.wanted Maxxis wide white walls but very hard to find,thay dont ship to the USA or canada any more.thank you

The '82 and '83 models run a 16 inch rear. Your '82 should have a 16 inch rear.
Are you looking for a 16 inch front?

Sorry,yes for the front have 17 up front now

I didn't check the sizes carefully but this is what I found,

There used to be whitewall tire paint, maybe that's an option?

Thanks Dan.I checked on the top 2 already.will take a look at the last one.tryed looking for that paint your talkng about but could not fine it.I did fine a white crayon for lettering.even had a guy here during bike week here in lake george ( americade)tell me about tire tatoo that could do this .I could find wide white walls for the back alright but the front is another thing,Im running 120-90-17 thay do have w/w in that size but its not the wide one like maxxis or avon and the avon wide w/w only comes in one size MT-90 16 :thanks:

Trying to paint on a white wall yourself sounds almost impossible to look good... Trying to tape it up and all that sounds like a huge pain in the butt :lol:

Hi Dan.found that tire paint you were talking about,thinking of giving that a try frist.see how it turns out.also havent been abel to upload my pics yet but when i do il post the pics of the old girl and how them white walls come out :thanks:

Curious to see how that paint turns out. A lot simpler than sourcing a smaller front wheel and all the problems that would come along doing so.

me and my crazy ideas.surch all over the place about the 16' rim no luck.I can order a set of maxxis from the UK and cost me like 500 a tire.no way.finding a wide white wall for the back is eazy but a 120-90=17 wide white is hard.dunlop has a white wall for 240 dollers :doh:
