1982 gl1100 carbs on 1977 gl1000?

i have come across a carb set off a 1982 gl1100, looking at putting them on my 1977 gl1000, any drawbacks?

there are some who think there is ...the 1100 carbs are slightly smaller....but ive think the 1100 carbs are the best ....i think its the best mod you can do to a 1000.... :mrgreen: but they have to be in good order tho....the 82 1100 carbs have screw in jets also first yr they did :mrgreen:

Clean and in good condition they will work fine. You should set the air fuel mix screws and synchronize them for best performance.

i have 81 carbs on my 75 and there are great. the only thing i noticed i lost a little on low end but gained so much on high end. what i mean is i get a lot smoother and quicker response at highway speeds with the 81's.
