Three blondes arrive at the pearly gates, and are greeted by St. Peter. He informs them that they must correctly answer a biblical question to gain entrance to eternal paradise.
The first blonde approaches, and he asks her, "What is the true meaning of Easter?"
She thinks about it for a bit and says, "Easter is the big celebration where everyone has a big turkey feast and gives thanks for everything they have."
A loud buzzer sounds and a trap door opens under her, sending her down to the fires below.
The second blonde approaches St. Peter, and he asks her the same question.
After a moment, she replies, "Easter is that magical day when families gathers 'round the decorated tree and give presents to each other."
BUUUZZZZ!!! The trap door opens, and down she goes!
The third blonde walks up to St. Peter, full of confidence. He also asks her to define Easter.
Without hesitation, she begins, "Jesus was denied and betrayed by his friends, sentenced to die and was crucified. On the third day, Easter Sunday, he rose from the dead."
St. Peter was impressed, and just as he was about to open the gates for her, she continued:
"He rolled the large stone aside, stepped out of the tomb and looked down at the ground. He saw his shadow, so there were still six more weeks of basketball."
BUUUUZZZZ!
