82 gl1100 center stand

My 82 came to me missing it's center stand and man would some of this work be a ton easier if it had one. It's an interstate with 16 tons of aftermarket add-ons an someone decided to remove the center stand. Planning to reverse that scenario. The frame side brackets are still intact.

What I'm wondering is what all models will work. Are the center stands the same on the 1100 and 1000? For that matter what all models could be donors?

I'm gonna bet that a center stand from an '82 will work! :hihihi:

The center stand from an '82 or '83 will work. The '80 and '81 have different wheels sizes than the '82 and '83 (which are a bit lower). The '80 and '81 center stands are just a bit taller accordingly. Try them on the '82 and you might not be able to get it up.

Good info! I'll limit my search to the last half of the 1100s lest there's any chance the 12s shared it........ Till then it's 82 - 83.
