83 Aspy turn signal's

it's done the before ,, just hasn't "healed up" this time.. The self cancelling part seems to be working fine,, just the blinker's are not working. When I turn them on,, it cancel's out the yellow parking/driving light on the fairing. Left cancels the left light etc. any idea's where to start ?

Sounds like a bad earth, either the bulb holder or the wiring.

right on, wonder where that fairing stuff grounds, have to try and trace it tomorrow. have a new toy, will try to post pic

You should find a ground in the bottom of the left hole.. remove pocket. And at the mounting screw should be a ground there.. at least was on my 81. Cleaned and attached to a screw in there.. fixed a ton of issues... other wise you will be tracing... a dark green wire through the fairing connector into the main wiring of the frame.... now just fyi.. I had a po butcher the radio wiring at the back of the connectors in the mounting plate ymmv...

+1 on the fairing grounds. There is a seprate green wire at the fairing connection - it's a ground.

thanks, got the bike apart,, it does seem like a ground problem,, but running lights are working,, .
