'83 body parts on an '82?

Would Hondaline fairing, bags, trunk and seat from an '83 fit on an '82?

Yes it will 80 to 83 will interchange

There is an issue with the trunk. The trunk bracket that holds the trunk to the bike comes in different lengths. I ran across this problem when I replaced the bracket on an 83 Aspencade. If the trunk you have comes with the mounting bracket, you should have no problems. :builder:

Thanks guys. There's a local guy selling this stuff. I have an '82 standard and was thinking of making it into a dresser. Sounds like the parts would mount up OK.

Any ideas on how the fairing electrical would hook up? I wonder if I would need a complete wiring harness from a dresser...in this case an Aspencade. I'm starting to think that the electrical might be the hardest part of this.

Hondaline fairing should already be wired. There should be a short harness from the fairing to the front connectors in the headlight bucket. Wiring should be relatively simple.

+1 just make sure you take plenty of photos for reference

If you put the fairing on make sure you use the heavy weight that goes on where the headlight bucket is removed from.

OK, false alarm on the Hondaline stuff. Just bought a Windjammer for $25 that I am going to try make work.

Sorry for waiting all your time, but I was seriously considering the full dresser treatment until I spotted this WJ.
