My turn signal problem has led to a lot of expense.

NOW my front calipers are not working. Took them apart and low and behold the rubber rings are shot.
Took the rear off and it too needs replaced.

MY QUESTION; what rebuild kit do I need?
I have 4 calipers(one extra)- on the side of all 4 there is stamped a 32 with an arrow pointing at the pistons.

On one caliper is stamped a zero
On two calipers is stamped a 1
the fourth is stamped a 2

Reading through the different threads and looking for the right kit on vendors I see where the 83 can have two different calipers on front with the left being the hand brake uses a 25 mm kit.
The right front uses a 32mm kit which is linked to the back foot brake.
Rear is 32 mm kit.

Partzilla has seems to have the best price
K&S Tech.com has kits for $10.75 w/ free ship.

Or should I just go to a Honda dealer to get OEM parts and bite the bullet on price?

Do I need to order 3- 32 mm kits?

Do you think mine are all 32mm kits?
Thanks for any input.

The '83 should have one 25mm and two 32mm calipers. The piston size difference is very obvious. If you have all three 32mm - like the '82, that's what kits you need. You could get a 25mm caliper on Ebay to make it right, but if the brakes worked fine, why change anything.

It's possible a PO put '82 brakes on it. Are they indeed divided brakes?

If you mean divided by left front being the handle brake --and the right front and rear being the foot break then yes that is what I have.

If I buy one off e-bay I would still have to have it rebuilt. These calipers have served me well for close to 9,000 miles.

Since you have the pistols out do they fit both calipers? .. rebuild kit consists of the "o" rings. Bleeder cover, possibly the dust cover and maybe the crush washers.. if you look at a parts fische/exploded diagram there may be two numbers listed.. there was on my 85 (and the dealer had no clue) the ones in () address the smaller ones ... I ended up with one of each ring but 2 different sizes, I had ordered for only one caliper... Also clean out your matter cylinders.. to include the bleed back hole.. (can't see another hole? ) The second one may be full of black hose crud and will be hard to remove.. there may be a metal cover over it also.. and tiny is sewing needle tiny... smaller then a brad or a map tack.. btdt... both masters have them.. back one may be harder to find.. rebuild kits are also available for these.. but thou can clean them first before deciding to rebuild.. as they may only need cleaning.. ..
