How does one know when to replace a rear rotor?

What kind and where whould one purchase a new rotor?

Since I may have to go to the trouble of replacing it--I would rather put a new rotor on as it should last me the rest of my life on this bike.

Thanks for any input.

The minimum allowable thickness should be embossed on one side of the rotor, just have to measure and see if it's still in spec and see if it's warped or not.. Some of the sellers on this site might have one or ebay if your looking for used.

I'm new to this so bear with me...
The book says the minimum thickness of the rear rotor is 6mm.
It seems they are no longer available as a new part, so you will need to search the web (here or Ebay) to locate a suitable replacement.

happy hunting
