Yes. Clearances might be a little tighter around the grab rail/trunk mount, but the frame mounts are the same. I have an '82 seat on my '83...no problems.

this is good to know , I'm looking for a better riding seat myself , but i really don't want to do anything to the seat on my 83 , i'd rather Change seats. and keep the Original seat just like it is. opcorn:
