Hey guys,
A friend of mine just bought a very nice '84 Aspencade.
It has one problem, it keeps blowing the fuse that feeds
the tail lights, parking lights and dash backlights.
We disconnected the tail lights under the seat and checked them separately. The tail lights are fine.
We then pulled the parking lights out on either side of the headlight. Each light has a green ground wire and a brown/white wire. The brown/white wire is reading as shorted to ground.
However, checking the wiring diagram, that brown/white wire seems to go to nearly everything on the bike!
The short could be anywhere!
Can anyone give me a hint as to where to look? Any known problem areas?

Thanks guys.

Pretty much everything electrical is a short to ground at some point but something has a greater short then it should, incandescent lights should all be removed to test if the brn/wht wire is hooked to other lights, the only way to be sure your reading the meter right.
