I will go and see an 85 LTD. Looks good from the pics at 112,000 miles. The seller states he has had it for a few months and the leveling system had been disconnected by the previous owner.
My question? Is there a manual way to put air in the front an back? Also, where would I get a breakdown of the auto leveling system. Sounds like a nightmare.
Thanks

If the 85LTD is the same as my 86SEI you can add or remove air from the front or rear independently.I keep 7 lbs in the front and about 30 lbs in the back when riding solo. good luck on it.

Sounds like a plan. I guess I can find the valves ok. Does the 86 SEI also have the auto leveling system? Whats good for tires? 40 X 40? 38 F 40 R?

The sei has a self leveling system, with switches that let you add air to either side manually. There is also a valve similar to a tire valve stem for adding air in case of a system failure.
I run my tire pressure around 32 lbs . unless Im carrying extra weight.
