I am going to replace the radio that I have and hopefully use the large antenna that came with the bike. The radio I have now has a little antenna. My question is does the connection on the OEM cable fit into today's radios. Seems I remember that you needed some kind of adapter to use the antenna and cable. This is what it looks like:

I am going to have to find another cable either way as this one is cut. Not sure how to go at this.

That is a cb cable connection.
+1
But you may get good enough reception out of it for your am-fm stereo. You can unsolder the fitting and use the bared back wiring to check if it works ok for its new job.

Aw hell, I forgot about the CB and the old Clarion set up. When I got the bike it did have a mic hooked up to the handlebars but I took it off since there was no CB. I think I've used a CB twice in my life and then I made a fool of myself. It would come in handy when trucks on I-70 put there turn signal on for one second, whip out in front of you, you slam the brakes and it takes them 7 miles to pass another truck. It's it epidemic on 70.

At least I have the mount and maybe I'll find a good antenna to put on it and Ill be in business. Who knows maybe someone has one here.
