Here is something that I discovered after putting a backrest on my '82 oldwing standard: I can now ride comfortably, even at highway speeds (100 to 110km/h), with now windshield. Yes, there is a steady blast of wind but with the BR there is now effort needed to overcome it. Also, there is no buffeting as is created by wind blowing over edges of a WS. I always wear ear plugs so wind noise is not an issue either. :Egyptian:

It is so nice to have nothing in front of me except the open. Which is what I loved years ago when I never even considered putting a WS on my bikes because I had no money for such luxuries.

Tried to get a switchblade windshield for my 84 standard, forks are too close together, :Awe: none will fit. :head bang:

Two bolts will allow me to remove mine.

Different windshields out there, but the switchblade goes on & off with NO FASTENERS, looks great as well. :cheeky: To answer your question canuckxxxx, have 2 corbins with backrests, & 3, 1200's, switching seats happens on occasions. :smilie_happy: Not able to work my job any more, so cash to buy another is not going to happen, :crying: but price has more than doubled & would not buy a new one if I was working. :nea: Road sofa is better deal, never rode on one, & not going to buy one to try when can't justify to me that its needed. When 2 bolts on 2 bikes takes care of the seat issue, & only need to fasten seat on what your going to ride leave bolts on seat of the other, in a sealed bag.
