Been gone for a while - Retiring soon

Been off the site for a while, wife and I been looking at retirement communities. Have decided on Oro Valley Arizona, new roads to explore and the community has a group of riders. Only problem is won't have a shop that I can work in but I have done enough of that.

I have decided when we move to ride the 83 to Arizona, it's only about 800 miles but I think I'm going to take the long way. Even decided to sell most of my tools (snap on) got enough for a new bike if I want but the more I ride the 83 the more I question if I really want a new one.

This forum has been a real blessing to me with all the great folks here and the wealth of knowledge. Now that we are back I'll try to be more active.

Oro Valley! At the foot of Mount Lemon. My Uncle and Aunt lived there when I was young. My brother and I could walk in almost any direction for hours in open desert, but now it's a huge community. Some amazing twisty desert roads in that area of Tuscon.

Congratulations on retirement, Arizona just repealed their MC emmision testing so thats good. I am doing the same in the near future, either Prescott Az. or Plano Tx. Never looked at Oro but worth looking into, Trying to stay away from the extreme weather but it is hard to avoid outside southern Ca.

Reason we picked Oro Valley it is 4000 ft elevation and averages 15 to 20 degrees cooler than Phoenix. We are going to be snow birds and spend the summers working in a Christian youth camp most likely in Idaho or Oregon, I did say I was retiring didn't I, our kids didn't abuse us enough so we are looking for more.
