There is no covered parking at my new job, so I need a cover to protect Old Girlfriend from the 120 degree temps and 10+ UV here in the Vegas desert. My wife has been asking what I want for my B-day later this month and I think this is it.

Got any experience with a quality cover that is still available preferably on-line? A link would be great too.

Thanks folks!

Take a look on eBay at this item.... I am considering it as a travel cover to keep in the bike for when I ride to work.... for the price, even if it doesn't last as long as my OEM cover bought in 1981 (which by the way I still have and is in excellent condition) it won't be a total loss... It Will fit a fully dressed wing......

The one I use I got at Pep Gurls, about $39, and fits a full dresser. Fairly rain resistant, but not water-tight. It's a "Blendtech" by Coverite(?). The black on the outside side fades in the sun, but the inside does not. Has some heat resistant stuff around the bottom so hot exhaust won't burn it....tho I haven't actually tested that yet. This one will last about 3 years, from my experience. I have to park mine outside at work, too, rain or shine, and it seems to hold up pretty well. It won't stop water in a heavy rain, but it does ok with a light shower. Elasticized front and rear, and has two grommets on the bottom for a bungie cord to hold in on, if needed. I do have to unscrew my radio antennae to get it on, but that's not a big deal.

The first one I had I bought off e-bay, and it ripped to shreds after about a year.

I have used a similar style from China and they don't stand up too well in the sun, about 12 months and they start to split and tear. That said they are really east to pack up because they are so light weight an I usually have one in my gear sack. I am currently using some Rjays covers one lined and the other unlined. Quality is great but they are fairly expensive, me being a cheapskate I bought mine on eBay second hand.

I got a Nelson-Rigg All Season Deluxe Cover I've had it for a while I think I paid about $40.00 for it. It's been a good cover I'm on my second one, on the first one after about a year and a half the elastic started to loosen up, so I called them and I sent it back and sent me a new cover no charge with the 2 year warranty starting all aver again. https://www.nelsonrigg.com/store/product.aspx?pid=484
If I ever had to buy another cover I would buy another one from them great customer service.

I have both a full cover and a half cover but I will tell you that I prefer the half cover best. Its smaller to carry and quicker and easier to put on and off.

Same here have bought Nelson-Rigg Brand but the Falcon defender 2000 & fits the bike great. It is the most expensive in their line of covers. It has a good engine heat cover that wont melt on the pipes after you have ridden the bike & need to cover and go on your business.Have had 3 previous ones (can't recall their brand names)but this is the best so far. https://www.nelsonrigg.com/store/defender_2000.aspx. Let us know which was your final choice.
