Okay so I have the opertunity to grab a pair of NEW os for a good price, but I don't know if they will fit mine have 5 holes to bolt the discs in place and these have six? apart from the extra bolt I am thinking that I may need a new front wheel to. Am I correct.

I thought you already had nice 6 hole disks. Yes you'll need the correct wheel to use 6 bolt disks.

Yeah I thought so too, but I don't 5 hole so bugger. £200 for two brand new with just scratches on them unused. go here

Any chance it might be cheaper to have the holes filled and redrilled in the other disks? The new disks are nice looking. Does the wheel have 5 or six mounting bolts? Regardless the number of bolts spacing will also need to be right to fit disks to the wheel.

On another tack, nothing to do with breaks but the spirals that go around the top and bottom water pipes, what colour were they when new, can they be chromed? I am going to use silicon tubing on my radiator in and out one red one blue ie hot and cold.

No idea on the spirals. The german rotors appear to have less offset and are drilled. Might be both lighter and more effective.

They do look lighter, and they are replace able as they are "floating" the spirals around the pipes, shame, think I might just try and get them chromed.

Rock Guards/springs, or "spirals"....
There's a set of chromed ones on EBAY right now... :good:
