too much travel in foot brake,, ok to move the pedal up a spline? ,,, like on dirt bike

Too much travel is air in the system. Is the pedal tight in the first 1" of travel? If not there might be air in your system.
k,,, just don't like pedal,, down so far when braking for me... been messin with it,, you can take it up a spline,, but im hearing the brake light kick on way too quick,, or doesn't shut off sometimes,, had the bags off so I couldn't tell by the lights... only noise... I will get it,, and b riding soon... :Egyptian:

Up a spline? My 83 I has an adjustable threaded rod.
brake pedal arm,,, is on a splined shaft,,, like small bikes, also see a linkage adj. to the master cyl... anyways have other probs... the splined hub that goes on the wheel,, I took the nuts off of my old one,,, now I have nuts left over,, and am going to have to take everything back apart to make sure the replacement part has them,, plus I used those nuts on the differential too the driveshaft housing,,, probably everything is ok,, but,, easier to check now,, than have probs later,,, :head bang:
rode yesterday,,, wow, like riding this thing. also ordered some highway pegs, boards look the greatest, try these for awhile.
