I am trying to get this CB250f back on the road for a mate. It had bent forks and damage from a spill that needs repairing. He had already sourced some LED turn signals, gauge set and replacement light. He also had the tank, bars, headlight bracket, remaining side covers and triple trees repainted. I am putting it all back together for him and getting it roadworthy.

Hey cool looking bike. I don't know if that model was sold in the US. Always had a soft spot in my heart for small bikes. When I was a kid a Honda S90 was a hot bike. There were lots of little bikes to learn to ride on. At least you knew how to use the clutch and brakes before before moving up to a much heavier and powerful
Bike. I think those were called the good old days.

Check it closely for and twist in the frame. Nice project.

Steel frame looks good but frame straightening was outside my brief. He had ridden it with bent forks and thought it was good? :(

:smilie_happy: not the most observant guy huh? :headscratch: All the more reason to check it over very closely. The edge of a sheet of plywood should be straight enough to verify the wheels at least are inline.

I like the plywood idea Slab, now all I need to do is find a straight one in Oz :smilie_happy:

Should be easier than finding a straight 2x4 here. :smilie_happy:

First time ride was down the dreaded driveway and off to get it road worthied and registered. Bit down on air pressure in the front tire which made steering through the round a bout exciting, felt like the head bearings were binding. Aired up and road about 25ks to get the roadworthy and the register it. I need to get a picture of my fat ass on it as I am sure that I swallow the whole bike. It goes okay but is really short, I can't even see the front wheel.

Me trying to crush the Hornet with all my bulk
After riding the Hornet around all morning I decided that I needed some real sports bike riding for the afternoon. Took Red out for a strap, as much as I love the Rats Nest you can't beat all that power, braking and handling.. :moped: :music:
