Not to mention completely different types of bearings. I've always wondered about that. HD's have roller bearings and needle bearings. But GW's have both plain and roller that share the same oil, don't they? Hmmm, wish I had more info on what's happening to the different types of bearings under different operating conditions. :doh:
 
The clutch input (driven) sprocket runs on needle bearings, so our babies use ball, needle, and sleeve bearings, plus various bushings in the trans gears. Add cylinder and trans gear teeth lubrication, and we give our oil a pretty good workout!
