I needed a part for my motorcycle. A member here spent the time and effort to dig one up and mailed it to my house at no charge to me. He didn't have to, he just did. :thanks:
This time it was Omega Man, but it could have just as well been any one of you guys here. When I tried to settle with him, pay the postage, or SOMETHING, he says just make a donation to the site.
When I need to know something about my bike, this is the first source that comes to mind. Sometimes I just need a place to chill and I get my fix here, reading, looking at pictures of other peoples bikes, places others ride to, etc. And it costs me absolutely nothing. I get so much from this place, and have so little concept of what it takes to maintain it, and feel I have so little to offer in return. I sure like being here though, and I want this site to stay, and I would like to see it grow better and better as time goes on. That's the real reason for my donation.
I wish I could make a much larger donation but at this time I'm just not financially prepared to do so. Which got me to wondering, what if everyone here donated $1 a month. What if half the membership donated $1 a month for a year. Don't worry, this is not a telethon, or a donation drive, or a feed the childred commercial. I'm just thinking out loud.

I want the site to stay...don't scare me so :crying:  . Honestly, the past few days after discovering handlebar risers on my bike (which I removed), I thought about posting them for someone who could use them. I was going to do it for postage only, along with a CGW sticker and patch (am I bad :whistling: ) and a donation to the cause (CGW), the amount to be whatever is appropriate. Now, to "pay it forward", I'll even pay for the shipping. They're 2" risers with about a 1" setback. The 4 bolts will be included that you do need (2 bolts are longer with two standard bolts). Just to set the record straight, I've never been solicited for any kind of donation here. That's the nice thing about CGW and the guys that do donate their time and money. It's appreciated.
:thanks:

You know this forum is great and very responsive.. I posted a question about a side hack my sister is trying to get rid of.. I got several replys from members with some good information :clapping: and was refered to the sidecar site for more specific information... So I joined USCA and posted the same info on that site.. :heat: ...that was several weeks ago....I still have had no reply from anyone there..So I will run with the info obtained from my home site and forget about that other site :cheeky: :sensored: :whistling: You guys (and Gals) are a great bunch, thanks

I make it a point to stay away from Facebood :heat: , I don't want anyone writing on my wall or working in my garden or seeing everybody elses friends. I have enough with email and cwg to keep me busy and distracted from the wing
