There has to be a solution to this problem, I like and have had cats all my life but these street cats or "cat" has been ruining my driveway and hitting my bike since I have bought it, not any of my past bikes just the goldwing. I have covered parking, no garage so I must park outside. I clean their piss(or whatever) off my pipes, underside, tires, rims and rear end with a hospital strenth enzime oder eater, then armor all and windex and still after cleaning I smell that putrid smell 8 feet away from my bike.
Car smells fine, just the bike..What gives?
Thanks for any help, I`m getting pissed.

Do you always park it on the same spot? Maybe there's something on the ground that's affecting the cat(s)... As I understand it, they're either marking their territory or covering the scent of their competition. I wonder if there's something you could spray on the pavement... Cats are amazing, but strange, and sometimes very irritating!

Not sure Steve, I have had house cats in the past but they never left a scent like this in or around my home. I make sure my dog doesnt lift his leg when we walk past the bike but he want to.
I do have a euro pro steam cleaner and maybe I should use it on the bike but I`ll tell you..Turning that smell into steam doesnt sound like a treat either. Seems I clean 90 percent of the smell and it last a week then that son of a bitch comes around and ruins all the work.
Sorry for the language, Me and cats are friends but I let this fester for a year now and I`m getting frustrated.

If you can catch him at it. A good soak with a garden hose a few times will usually get him to relocate.

Didnt know they made that cat spray remover, I`ll give that a try, hopefully it wont leave a funky oder of it`s own, I was coming out of a store to the parking lot and got within 6 ft. and could smell that cat, that was after a cleaning, a long ride, stopped at a red light, can still smell it and so can everyone else i`m sure. I`ll check wally world and see if they carry a similar product.
Joe, the fence I`ll save for last resort , you gave me an idea though, if there was some kind of motion activated device that would startle the cat as he opproached..Hmmm.
Slab, yea..Catching him is the problem. Seen one or another cat and scare them away but I think this is happening in the early hours overnight, sometimes I hear a cat fight after midnight, not near my bike but in the area.
Thanks guys, just had to vent and get some solutions.

This werks pretty well.....

:hihihi:

Get some cyan pepper powder, and spread it around the perimeter of the bike. Prolly have to do it every evening for a while, but varmits(cats included) don't like it, and they'll stay away....

Congrats!
Didnt last long..The bike cover had to be washed again...The thing is, If i`m not aware that it has happened I then take the cover off and it gets on my clothes..I then have to go change..This sucks.

try zip tied moth balls on the lower edge of your cover. Wrap them in rags to be tied on. Almost any critter hates those buggers.
