Dipstick blues

Guys, on my '76 GL-1000, is there an actual dipstick
available for checking the oil?
That damned little window is a pain in the ...
and I have to lay down on the dirty floor to see it!

i've got one you can have if you want it. came from JCWhitney. i dont use it because i rebuilt the engine and cleaned the window and the chrome backing plate. no trouble seeing the oil level now.
i am away from home until the end of the month or so (working ) but pm me your address some time and i will send it to you. you can see it in this pic. comes up in front of the radiator.
