Does a 1996 Intestate have reverse? Compressor? Air shocks?

See if there's a black lever on the left side of the bike, just below the tank trim. If it's there, start the bike, pull the lever out, then up. If it moves all the way to the top, press the starter button. if the bike moves backwards, you have reverse. If The bike sprouts four rockets and stabilizer wings out the backside, you might wanna hop on and go for the ride of your life...

There was a year or two only when they offered a 1500 interstate with no reverse as well as lacking a few other options.

I believe 96 falls in there someplace.

I have reverse on my 89, but it's like a novelty. People ask to see it, and I show it to them. It came in handy 1 time when I had to back up a hill, because there was a puddle of water at the bottom, and scooter ****** did not want to get her betty boop boots wet....
