The fender guard isn't from a standard.
Nope, look at the engine.

Here we have a project 1981 Honda Goldwing GL-1100 The bike will need to be serviced Brakes, Battery, Carburators.. before it is put back on the road. It does run at this time and does move on it's own power. The bike has sat for about 10 years. Would make a great ratbike. or restore project. You know how it goes to many projects not enough time.. So here it is on ebay. I have a release of interest from the prior owner. This is a no return item Sold as is where is for restore or parts.

Looks like it already is a Rat Bike.

Ding,Ding,ding!!Roncar got it.
Carbs it is, My eyes went right to them when I seen the photo, Looks like it has been played with a bit already.

Swapping carb racks is pretty common. To me any flat 4 carb rack "belongs" although I haven't seen any 1200 carbs modified to fit 1100 or 1000 yet.

Thats true, except no vacuum advance, or is there? Performance gain over the later carbs maybe?

1000 carbs are a bit bigger and the vacuum advance on 1100 is often disconnected rather than repaired. 1000 racks can be modified to provide vacuum for advance.

I see 5 things that don't belong, besides the carbs.
4 nice, shiny intake runners, and....a license plate.... :ahem:

:smilie_happy: The intakes caught my eye too, I think he did try to get it running because he also has a cleaner set of 1000 carbs he tried to sell in another auction, by all rights those intakes should look as bad as the carbs..Maybe was left out in the rain/weather without any intakes on it at all, then bought some and bought a cleaner rack of carbs , tried to start it and failed.
definetely a parts bike.
