For those who struggle putting a bike on the center stand

My 1100 is a pita. I have to ride it up on a 2x4, then put it on the center stand. My 1500, on the other hand, practically jumps on the center stand by itself....almost like a scooter easy. The geometry of the stands on the two bikes is obviously different.

All you have to do is move the center stand to in front of the motor and just like that ..it’s the best stand any bike could ever have...LOL

I often find that the Honda foot-hold prior to the mid-eighties has a rather painful knob on it that isn't really user friendly, and on a Honda, of all things. I am thinking of welding a flatter & wider foot pedal on my GL1100 that resembles some other bikes I have owned.

Sounds like lowered or sagged rear suspension! :whistling:

I must admit, once I redone the forks and rear springs bushings it did get a little easier to place on the center stand, but it was nothing like this guy was braggin' on.

For boxer motor bike that should be on center stand always Honda sure screwed this up big time ...
