Fork Tubes ???

My 83 has a bad left hand fork tube. Does anyone know if an 80 tube will work, I have and 80 parts bike. I haven't taken the 80 forks apart yet.

60's do not have the anit dip feature but i thind they are the sane diameter,correct me fi I am wrong
