Well I was going to add air to the front tire and broke the valve stem.But I guess thats ok because I have a 45 degree valve stem I have been wanting to put on there anyway.Are there any things I need to watch out for when pulling the front wheel to replace the stem?The only thing might be removing the speedo cable.
 
Speedo cable is simple, one phillips head screw and it's off.

I can't think of any gotcha's.

Pull the brake calipers, tie them up so they don't hang on the hoses.
Put a floor jack under the engine to hold the weight.
Remove the 4 axle cap bolts.
Have a helper push down on the rear to lift the front wheel off the ground or use a floor jack to lift the front up.
Take the wheel out.

Am I missing any steps?

Install in reverse making sure to put the axle caps back on the same side and direction.
Snug the nuts then tighten the front nuts first, then rear. There should be a space in the caps to the rear.
