sounds just like something running and a bearing going out.. I put her on center stand and ya,, when you put the steering completely one way,, there is a lil play,, just enough to say there is some,, I can see the rotor move when I check for play,, .. I thought at first it may have something to do with the brakes, as when I would apply the back brakes, the noise seemed to go away,. really wanted to ride it about now,, naturally. and I have been checking for heat,, nothing seems to be building any heat,, nothing,, cept the weather. anyone think I need new wheel bearings?

Yeah if the wheel has tilting movement... replace them they are easy to do... and will make your ride mentally pleasing.... I would also check the condition of the speed drive that fits inside the left wheel seal... mine had corroded was worse then tin foil.and about as thick.... the replacement was about 3/16 of and inch thick..
