I understand from my research that the drive shaft, final drive and rear wheel from an 1100 were used on the CB900c Custom. My question is did they also use the same rear shocks for both bikes? If so then I should be able to rebuild the shocks from my cb900 and have them ready to switch out the ones on the 1100. Then rebuild the ones on the 1100 for the CB900. Correct? :read:

Parts is parts. We have adapted a lot of parts that supposedly don't fit. Some use HD shocks. Just try swapping them and see.

Progressive suspension sold a suspension kit for the CB900C/ CB1000,GL1100 & GL1200's. The instructions are four pages long on how to install the kit. Believe it's on this site

I didn't mean to scare you off, just to have you recognize that it probably won't a bolt-on job. I put air shocks from a GL1200 on my GL1000 because the OEM shocks were not strong enough to support my daughter. I had to fabricate a bracket on the bottom of the air shocks to match the GL1000 swing arm. :builder:

Progressive sells dampers, springs, seals,& boots. You can build your own set of Progressives, & or repair, or replace the parts, & save some cash.
