GL1200 Rub L molding end

I'm looking for 81230-MG9-770 (Right side) & 81430-MG9-770 (left side ) rubber moldings that go between the Saddle bags and the fender. The right side can be had for $10-15 from several sources, but the left side is available nowhere.

It's just hard rubber and I'm considering making a mold from an existing piece and casting my own pieces. Has anyone else tried this approach and did you have any success at it?
