Good evening and happy fall every one. I wish that I could say “I just found and joined your site. Thanks to the GoldWing owners forum.” But the truth is and you can ask the Admin I have been trying to become a member for a while with some hiccups along the way. Good news is here I am.

About me. I’m a 30 something year old retired U.S ARMY Military Police officer. I Rode a 1987 GoldWing GL1200 Aspencade as a U.S ARMY Military Police officer from 1998-2001. In 2001 that bike was presented to me as a gift by my base commander as they had just upgraded to newer GoldWing and Harley’s. From 2002-2006 I served in Iraq and Afghanistan. I'm home now and recovered, as best as I can from my physical injuries and currently working on the mental. It was the army and some family members that helped my love this bike. I am now Back in school after 20 years to become a Cosmetologist. I have more hobbies then I know how to at times spend my time with. From Fly Fishing and Fly tying, to model Rocketry and more. My latest obsession if my bike.
I have a classic 1987 GoldWing GL1200 Aspencade. Though not the same as the one I had given to me. Sadly that bike was totaled due to water damage. This beauty is an alluring Wine Berry Red with dark brown leather seats and so many bells and whistles, that it is a tad over whelming to one who is not used to her.

She’s in need of some body work and maybe a tune up but she runs like a champ. I have been putting well over 1k miles on her every weekend with more than that during the week, 13K miles of mine since the 19 of June when I got her with only 101k miles on her.

I came here for a few reasons one to find more people like me who share a love (possibly borderline obsession) for this beauty of a bike, in the north eastern area( Mass, Ri, Nh ect).

As well as to learn how to properly care for and maintain my GL1200, better then I already have learned from the other Goldwing sites I belong .

She is a restoration project for me and I am in the hopes that I restore her in time so that I can show her next summer. (lord forgive me for this!!) But I also want to make a few people I know jealous of her and of my ability as a woman to do 90% of the work myself..
