Recently swapped engines in my '82. :builder: Borrowed this transmission jack from my neighbour. I think he bought it from Princess Auto (similar to Harbour Freight)

It made the job much easier than previous swaps. :good: Has a platform a bit bigger than the bottom of engine. Has levelling adjusters to fine tune position relative to mount points.

BTW, this time I first hung the engine from the upper mounts rather than bottom one which I used to struggle with. :good:

Trans jacks like that are aboot $130-$150 here. They take up a lot of room on the floor when yer not using it, tho... :good:
 
Pretty mooch. We rented one here a month or so ago for 2 days. $80 & change. BOUGHT one yesterday for $144 at Harbor Freight. :mrgreen:
