If you go to a golf store or pro shop, they will sell you some tape for gripping clubs. It is two-sided tape. You put one piece on the bar and then peel the paper backing. There are two kinds of activators, water or mineral spirits. Use which ever one they give you. Either way, you put a liberal amount on and the tape becomes slimy as snot. The grip will slide on easily. Depending on temp, it may need overnight to cure. I think a lot of places would give you the tape.

I've used 3M Weatherstrip Adhesive on mine, and that seems to work well. It sets up quickly, so ya gotta be fast to slide the grip on.
