Just thought I would voice my opinion on these new Cree Red LED`s I bought. I needed to cut down on the draw of 4X1157 bulbs I have in the back so I bought these off the auction site and am pleased. They don't look yellowish at all like the picture at bottom, very red and very full and brighter then the original incandescent bulbs, They are 5 watts and have 3 side mounted LED`s to light up the reflector.
Photo is with running light only brake is nice and bright,I plan on using 2 LED licence plate bolts to counter the red but I really don't drive at night much anyways.

Thanks, They cost me 11.99 but can cost up to 14+ just depends who you want to buy them from, I just typed "Cree 1157 red led" and that gives a bunch of choices, There is another style that has even more side lit LED`s (6 or 8) but they are bringing closer to 20-30 and I wasnt sure I was even going to like LED`s but I have to admit they are better.
Not sure the model number , here`s a link to a seller. https://www.ebay.com/itm/2-X-1157-5W-CRE ... 915wt_1024

Thanks for share. I'm heading at those bulbs.
They wont dissapoint, plenty bright..Just be sure and buy the ones with the LED`s on the sides(5 Watt), there is one that is identical without the side LED`s they will have 3 Watt.

My next mod is getting strips of those ultra flat smd 5050 leds in both amber and red to slide into the stock red lights, side reflectors and the front fairing reflector, some you can buy and just cut to length, instead of a spotty light behind the rear red strips I would like to see foremost is a seamless light much like neon which can be had, but these smd strips are easy enough and cheap to begin a unique mod.

Those led's sure brighten up things and give a new look while cutting down on power consumption. Great ideas that this winter will start implementing.
