Just stumbled on this site - Looks interesting! Being 74 years young, anything classic interests me! I am always looking for challenges, so when I sold my share in an airplane, I figured that after a 35 year hiatus I would start riding again. I found a real nice 1996 GL1500SE with 30,000 original miles on it. I had a bike mechanic look it over and he said that if I didn't buy it, he was going to. I bought it! Being the heaviest bike that I had ever owned or ridden, I took the safety course and spent several hours, afterwards, riding in circles, doing figure 8's etc. until I felt comfortable on the bike. That was 3 years ago! I have not been down on it, so far, but did drop it in the driveway once! That will not happen again as they are not fun to get standing up again! Looking forward to looking over the site and participating! Oh, I got the bike from the 2nd owner! :hi:

That is how I got mine back up! I had to figure it out, though, by myself. It still was work, so it is remembered to not drop it again. USMC 1958 - 1962. :thanks:
