I have a 1980 wing with ComStar wheels. I plan to install Dyna beads this spring. The wheels have stick on wheel weights. The rims are stock with black paint with polished edges. I want to pull off the adhesive weights without pulling off the paint. I was thinking about putting a drop or two of WD-40 or something similar around the weight and let it soak overnight to loosen the glue. Think this will work to get the weight off the rim without pulling off the paint?
Any other ideas? Anxious to try the beads.

Pour(spray) some of dis stuff around the weights, let it sit for 30 seconds or so, and then pull them off. It will dull the black paint, but it doesn't harm it...it will polish right back out with some wax. :good:
