I'm in Lake Wylie, SC. Just picked up a project 82 GL 1100 Interstate for $200. Converted to Ford solenoid, tore apart the starter to find all the spacer washers were missing, dropped in a couple copper banjo washers then brought the old girl back to life with a new battery!
Ran smooth at first then started knocking. Was smoking out the right pipe. Im presently doing an oil change and building an apparatus to sync the carbs. Front brakes are dry and the forks are flat so 2 forks and 2 calipers to rebuild then we'll see if the front master is shot...
Who knows, I might get some wind in my hair before it snows, LOL
