Hello
I've owned a Honda CX500 since 1995 and got it because it was shaft driven and liquid cooled. Another reason it was cheep and needed some TLC. The down side is the lower gearing and high revving at higher speeds. I'm an active member of https://cx500forum.com/
The Yamaha XS500 was a freebe that was saved from the scrap. I got it running on the cheep. Parts are getting harder to find.
I like the full dress look. You'll probably never find me riding a bike bigger than 100cc without a full fairing. Thus brings me to the GoldWinds. I don't currently have one, but eventually will probably be looking for a barn find in the next year or so. Something that someone hasn't put a ton of $$$ into and expecting it back. I would also grab a SilverWing in the same condition.
I do all of my own work on my cars, trucks, bikes and computers.
:thanks:
