lexan for windshield

Anyone make a replacement windshield for their interstate out of 1/8-3/16" lexan? Just flex to fit the curvature of the fairing and drill holes to suite. Lexan is a lot more bendable and easier to drill.

It could be done I suppose. But that thin will not last very long at highway speeds.Better to use the thicker lexan and heat it to form the curves.

I made two different ones for my naked 82.


This is the latest, Lexan is very easy to work with and make bend, even without heat.

My sidecar's windshield is 1/8" Lexan. No problem on the hwy.

Yes, works good. The lowers from the headlamp bolt bracket to the turn signal jiggle some. Makes light dance on wet nights.
