Have 82 aspencade, seems I need to get a little lower for a better control.Had the seat cut down inch and half.Still feel like I need to get lower for foot control.Seen post of lowering the front forks.Good Idea or bad.How will it affect this bike. Thanks

Within an inch it should not adversely affect the handling.. maybe "quicker" steering... not much more room lowering over that in the front.. I know it has an effect on rake angle (reduces)and trail

Quite a few guys run naked bikes with an inch up in the triples, but loaded down, you might be scraping in corners. If you want another inch or more, cut the sides of the seat down as well, the area where your groin drops your legs. I'll bet if you can carve an inch out of each side, you'll be there.

Seems to me the handle bars are in the way of moving them up..Maybe thats why they were made in America..They could not ride them off the assembly line.

Thanks for all the replys.Over the weekend cut down the sides of the seat about 3 inches and a little off the top.Can really get down.It was fairly easy with an electric carving knife and a grinder too smooth things out.
